I started my career as a mental health nurse and gained a place at the Royal School of Needlework in the early naughties. This change of career immersed me in the world of needlework and textiles. Leatherwork seemed the natural progression. Sharing my knowledge with others and teaching followed on naturally from this.

During lockdown I developed an interest in using digital technology within my work. This started out as digital printing onto leather and fabric and moved onto online tuition, opening my own YouTube channel Elizabeth Bond The Smart Stitcher. I will have some examples of my recent projects on display during Bucks Art Weeks.
