My sculptures contain a portrait of things that hold a nostalgic importance to us. Memories and objects that hold value to us for myriad reasons. A first house key, a letter, a poem, a flower, a ticket to a Bowie concert, a favourite lipstick, a coke bottle, old watch of a beloved relative, Lego and so on…all of this encased in a transparent handbag, preserved forever.

I like to work with the intimate memories an object can trigger, it’s so personal, and individual. My family is always passing on personal treasures that don’t always fit in with my decor but each one tells a story. When we lose our memories, we lose our identity. I love how objects hold nostalgic pleasures. My work preserves these stories for future generations to enjoy.
