I have been making jewellery for over 30 years and since 2008 I have been able to devote much of my time to silversmithing from my own workshop/studio. I am mostly self-taught but attend master classes on a regular basis. My jewellery is inspired by patterns and objects found around us, a landscape, a cobbled street, a broken structure. I also use other artists to guide my work such as sculpture, photography & paintings. I use vibrant enamels, set precious and semi-precious stones, incorporate gold and texture silver. I love to work with new techniques and have collected many tools to help me do this! As a result, my work is very varied. I can show you some specific tools or demonstrate wet inlay cloisonné enamel work, Keum Boo gold application, enamelling copper bowls, repoussé work and spoon making and other jewellery making techniques. If you would like to see or discuss any specific process during BAWs, e-mail me or give me a call & we can set up a specific time. Or, just visit!
