Amanda Curbishley

Contemporary Acrylic & Mixed Media Painter
Tranquil Water, Amanda Curbishley

Seascapes, harbours, rivers and landscapes in acrylic and mixed media. I am fascinated by light, shape and colour in nature which is reflected in my work. I try to use bright colours and texture in my paintings which lean towards the semi abstract. I am a regular exhibitor throughout Buckinghamshire. I have exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists and at the ING Discerning Eye exhibition, both at the Mall Galleries in central London, at 'Not the Royal Academy' at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London, and at the Crypt Gallery St. Ives and in Chichester with the National Acrylic Painters Association. I have held solo shows at Claydon House Courtyard and at the Three Hares Gallery, Olney. I am a member of, and exhibited with, both the Bucks Art Society and the Oxford Art Society. I also took part in 'The People's Landscape' exhibition at Claydon House.
