Paintings inspired by the colours, textures, weather and seasons of the British landscape. A celebration of holidays enjoyed by mountains, rivers, lochs, woodland, mossy walls and the sea. A way of sharing the pleasures of exploring footpaths by rustic walls, through local bluebell woods, by autumn trees or snowy fields. Skies, cloud formations and the ever changing light on the landscape feature strongly in recent work. Paintings of Hope in Devon and paths towards distant brightness reflect optimism. Highland cows bring a smile.
I use a range of techniques in watercolour, pastels, acrylic, ink and mixed media. I also make small raku brush stands which are for sale.
I am always learning and enjoy sharing ideas and information with other artists and visitors.
