I started woodturning after having a Birthday present lesson with a local eminent turner. I was immediately hooked . Woodturning combines my practical side with the natural beauty found within a tree. It's fascinating and challenging to hopefully bring out the best in sometimes what can be just a plain looking piece of wood. I particularly like to make pieces from windfallen or dead trees from peoples gardens. I sometimes like to experiment with resins and various other finishes to enhance the wood.
