Art in Weston Underwood

Painting, woodturning & Painting on Glass

Penelope Milner has worked as a committed artist since obtaining her BA in 1982. She is a member of the French pastel society and exhibits with them annually. She also frequently exhibits with The British Pastel Society. Please go to www.penelopemilner.net to see more of her work. Dr Conny Bailey has a PhD in the history of fine art and lectures at Leicester University. Her very striking personal work includes decorated bowls and platters as well as unique painted mirror wall art. With a background in engineering, Brian Stainton produces mostly turned wooden items which are then textured, carved and decorated using a variety of techniques. Live demonstrations will take place throughout the Arts Weeks, with the chance for visitors to have a go at woodturning. Refreshments available, including delicious home made cakes.
