Laura Boswell is a British printmaker with a degree in Art History/Visual Art and a member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. Her landscape prints reflect her time in Japan studying traditional woodblock printing. She works exclusively in linocut and Japanese woodblock, exploring her love of light and seasonality in the landscape by working with transparent pigments, impulsive line and brushwork. Laura is showing work from her residency in Kyoto and Tokyo this spring as well as from her travels in Scotland. Laura teaches, writes for Artists and Illustrators Magazine and her book ‘Making Japanese Woodblock Prints’ appears next year. Her prints feature in national collections including the House of Lords and the Library of Wales.
