I gain inspiration for my paintings from the places I visit, both in the UK and abroad, and try, wherever possible, to work from ‘real life’ landscapes or seascapes, gaining as much reference as I can from my immediate surroundings. In my work I aim to evoke the energy, atmosphere, colour and feeling stimulated by my travels. I regularly draw from a life model as I consider understanding and exploration of the human form in any of its various shapes and postures to be perpetually fascinating and hugely important to my development. As part of Bucks Art Weeks, I will be exhibiting with four other artists at Sunneyhill Barn, Rowsham, where it will be a wonderful opportunity for visitors to experience first-hand the creativity taking place including workshops and live music. Home-made refreshments available. Rowsham is on the A418, three miles north of Aylesbury. Turn right into Brewhouse Lane, following yellow Bucks Art Weeks signs.
