Can science and spirituality coexist?
It seems to be a topic that ignites passions, leading many people to draw a very clear line between the two and declare which side they belong to.
For me however, I like to think of them as inseparable and equally important.
Seeking to explore how they can influence one another, I work in a contemporary and abstract manner with the principles of sacred geometry. This is an ancient and global discipline that combines science, mathematics and art with deep spirituality, symbolism and meditation.
I employ traditional techniques and materials including hand made paper, natural pigments, slate, silverpoint and gilding.
Influenced by nature, science, the cosmos and the journey of the soul, my work juxtaposes raw textured backgrounds of slate, pigmented gesso and hand dyed Indian hemp paper, with precise geometric constructions as I seek to explore a harmonious meeting place.
