Drawings-Paintings-Prints-Illustration-Books

Barbara Sedassy is an eclectic painter. She is deeply into stories; she celebrates colour and line and loves the way they sing together. She studied at St. Albans, Falmouth + Chelsea Schools of Art., and still does regular life drawing.
She grew up in Chorleywood, worked in Chesham. She went on travels, to Canada, the States Mexico, Belize and Hawaii. She always kept sketch books. She believes drawing matters. She paints, draws movement, colour, sunsets, cows, dancers, makes cards + illustrates books. Even as a child she was a natural anthologist, liking poems that made pictures. Mixed media and textiles feature. She loves Yeats, Bonnard and Beethoven! She has exhibited in Canada, the States and the UK. Community Artist. Workshops. She works and exhibits in her garden studio.

"And my mind observed to me,
Or I to it, how ordinary
Extraordinary things are or

How extraordinary ordinary
Things are, like the nature of the mind
And the process of observing." Norman McCaig
