Biography:
I am a mixed media artist and printmaker working in my garden studio since I left nursing eleven years ago. I’ve always had a passion for art and so thankful to be able to spend all my days surrounded by paints, collage, inks and tools of the trade!
My paintings and print work are inspired by Port Isaac, in Cornwall, travels, architecture, my pets, flowers, objects as well as anything with bright colours.
I love to use patterned paper in my paintings as well as newsprints, stencilling, oil pastels, and anything else I can get hold of. With lino printing, I also use patterned papers in my lino cuts and love to use many colours or tones in my lino reduction prints.
I am a member of the The Visual Arts Group. I enjoy opening my studio and showing my paintings and paintwork in June every year as part of Bucks Art Weeks.
I have been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year with my ‘Dahlia’ lino reduction print; I have been accepted for this year’s Royal Society of British Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries, and have previously exhibited at the Mall Galleries as part of the Society of Women’s exhibition, The Royal Society of British Artists and also the ING Discerning Eye exhibition. I’ve also had the pleasure of exhibiting in St. Ives, Cornwall and Bath as part of the Arts festival. I also enjoy taking part in local art exhibitions throughout Buckinghamshire. I am also part of a lovely team who organise ‘Amersham Art Unlocked’ every November to showcase our wonderful local artists and artisans in a group exhibition.
You can see the full range of my paintings and paintwork on my website, www.nathaliepymm.com and I am also on Facebook and instagram.
