Biography:

I am an acrylic and resin artist who also enjoys exploring different mediums like clay and foam sheets for model making.

My work is inspired by nature, celebration of life and colours. The mood of most of the pieces of art is bright, bold and positive as I believe my work should “put a smile on your face” and share positivity towards life. Many of the pieces are inspired by Indian culture.

I started painting and henna art from early age and continued this passion throughout my education until post- graduation and later with my career in financial services. I believe inner strength and positive attitude can heal any wound, physical or emotional and that is what I try to express in my creations.

I bring textures and patterns into my work inspired by my love for henna and use the same technique for intricate lines and designs. I use different techniques, and these can be contrasting like abstract, fluid painting, carefully composed details, intricate lines to accentuate the subject, mandala patterns etc.

Along with paintings, I transform home decor like candles, mirrors, baubles and ceramic figurines into personalised hand-painted art pieces. I create resin cake stands, cup-cake stands, wineglass holders, coasters, trays and more. I offer natural henna tattoos/designs at events and bridal henna services.

I created “NHS HEROES”- acrylic on canvas (90cm x 60cm) which was donated to JR Hospital & “Oxford Skyline”- Acrylic on canvas (100cm x 50cm) – donated to Churchill Hospital along with 500 hand-painted tea-lights during pandemic in 2020.
