Art specialisms: Painting
I regularly take part in local exhibitions and teach adult beginners in acrylics, oils and some drawing techniques in my weekly classes and one-off workshops in Stoke Poges and surrounding towns. I also take private bookings for groups of adults for a fun (or serious!) session of painting to suit your topic and timing.
Biography:
Heather began exhibiting in 2013 and paints in her home studio. Continuing to evolve her art practice and develop skills, she is becoming braver at expressing emotions through painting. After several years of painting Scottish landscapes, Heather’s latest work is based on large showy flowers such as hydrangeas and peonies, expressing the highs and lows of midlife. Each one is a form of self portrait.
Largely self taught, Heather also enjoys occasional face-to-face classes and workshops, networking with other artists and digging in to books, podcasts, museums and independent galleries to inform her own practice and teaching. Completed Louise Fletcher’s 12 week FYJ in 2023.
