Biography
I am primarily an animal, wildlife and pet portrait artist based in Buckinghamshire. Working mostly in oils, I am known for creating paintings that capture not only the appearance of my subjects but also their personality and story. Alongside traditional canvases and paper, I often paint on vintage sheet music, combining my love of art and music to create distinctive pieces with a different depth to them.
Inspired by the natural world, my work ranges from detailed pet portraits to expressive botanical studies. My paintings frequently explore themes of connection, curiosity and the emotional response.
As well as creating original artwork, I accepts commissions for both painting and Jewellery (using up-cycled vintage music). Through exhibitions, open studios and events such as Bucks Art Weeks, I love to share both my finished work and the stories behind their creation.
When I am not in the studio, I can often be found sketching outdoors with Urban Sketchers (where I am one of the organisers along with Lesley Keck and Caroline Newland-Smith for the Milton Keynes group), exploring new creative ideas, spending time with my studio assistants (my dogs) or finding inspiration in music, nature and everyday moments that deserve a second look.
