Biography
My work is firmly rooted in my background as an architect. I am interested in how architectural forms can take on a new personality in clay, how I can ‘construct’ complex ceramic sculpture using both thrown and slab built elements. My current large scale work, making furniture out of clay, is primarily decorative, but invites the viewer to interact with each piece through daily use. My smaller scale work concentrates on sculptural forms that can be appreciated or used both individually and in groups. I recently completed a Ceramics Diploma at West Dean College.
