Biography
Kathryn’s work explores landscapes and buildings, discovered sometimes unexpectedly, where she abstracts shapes and colours.
She uses cut paper stencils for each layer of colour, overprinting to create depths of colour and reducing the flow of ink through the screen by using different pressure on the squeegee to create a range of textures.
Kathryn is mainly self-taught, having attended many printmaking courses including linoprinting, drypoint and collograph but discovered that screenprinting suited her love of colour best. She is a member of Oxford Arts Society and of Bafa Printmakers.
