Biography

I find inspiration through the physical practise of walking and cycling in the landscape. Being  a part of nature and experiencing the  elements is key to my practice. The intensity of light, colour and form through the changing of the seasons is of particular interest.  Using photographs and sketching out in the field as a starting point, I explore my ideas using printing techniques of natural materials, fabrics and papers. I develop and work into the surfaces with washes, mark making and refined elements. The experimental approach is very exciting to me.
