Biography

My work is often inspired by nature, or actually uses real leaves and fossils. I like experimenting with textures and carving into wheel thrown work, particularly to create surfaces that sit nicely in your hand when using them. I love the way that ceramics can be part of your everyday life, and the special edge that a one-of-a-kind massive mug gives to a good cup of tea, or the extra enjoyment of eating a big slice of cake off a handmade plate.

I am currently experimenting with smoke-firing pottery for unique natural patterns on decorative pieces.

I am a member at Marlow Studio Pottery.
