I have always loved art, especially painting and sculpture, but life took me down other roads in terms of my career and I have spent 25 years as a doctor in the NHS. However, in my 40s, the time felt right to explore my creativity again and with the encouragement of artistic
friends, I started to paint once more.

In the past few years I have discovered a love of oil painting and with it, the sheer joy of seeing how the light moves across the local hills and fields, and trying to capture some of that magic on canvas. I feel very blessed to live in the beautiful Chilterns and I find that with the changes of the hours and the seasons, there is always something new to paint.

My exhibitions in 2023 include different views of Stokenchurch, where I lived for 20 years, and views from Whiteleaf and Coombe Hills – as well as some favourite landscapes and seascapes from travel abroad.
