I design and make all my jewellery, using silver, gold and occasionally gemstones to add colour. My work is influenced by sculptural forms and shapes, typically ovular, and I use techniques such as roller printing with fabrics and also hammering to create texture and interest. I'll also add gemstones to complement a texture or shape, or act as a colour contrast to a smooth polished surface.
I trained as a jeweller as an adult learner at college evening classes, followed by attending a specialised jewellery and silversmithing studio to develop skills and techniques. I work from my own small workshop in Buckinghamshire, and at Burnham Jewellery Studio where I shall be exhibiting this year, together with Grant Forsyth.
