I moved to England from Russia more than fifteen years ago. My lifetime interest has always been in Art and Design. In 2012, I completed the study at Staffordshire University and was awarded a First-Class Honours Degree in Interior Design. Alongside my current job as an Art Tutor, I concentrates on creating my figurative sculptures, paintings and reliefs which are dimensional images sculpted on a canvas board.
When creating my art, the narrative part is essential, although the visual form holds a key to revealing the idea. I pay attention to every detail, be it shape, color, antique or vintage items which I sometimes incorporate into my pieces. I use air drying ‘Paperclay’ which is sculpted over support wire structure and finished with oil, acrylic, watercolour, and pastels. Relief paintings are completed on a canvas board and shaped with ‘Paperclay’. All pieces are original and are one of a kind.
