There are 3 strands to my art:
• Animal masks – evoking the essence of the animal from a human perspective.
• The human experience- exploring human connections to show a feeling in a semi abstract way.
• Silver and copper jewellery – creating smaller wearable sculpture.
I would describe my sculpture as semi- abstract. The process is intuitive, changing many times from the initial idea to the final artwork. Often, I listen to music to envoke an emotion that I want to express. There is cross fertilisation of ideas and techniques between all disciplines. Experimentation and exploration of different techniques and processes is always evolving and changing, pushing my own boundaries and the limitations of this unique metal.
