Studio Stanway is a Wendover based, creative upholstery workshop specialising in natural, modern seating.
Founded in 2019 by Susie Stanway, the studio’s design ethos focuses on using traditional materials such as horsehair, coir and lambswool ticking within its simple and unfussy designs.
Susie enjoys designing bespoke furniture, working with local artisans including a wood turner, joiner and block printer to bring her ideas to life.
In addition to creating new pieces Studio Stanway can revive a tired family treasure or source an heirloom for future generations – with beautiful fabric sourced to match any interior scheme and budget.
Susie is AMUSF qualified (Distinction), a journeyman member of the Guild of Traditional Upholsterers and a graduate member of Design Nation.
For Bucks Art Weeks Susie will be showing bespoke furniture and cushions, all handmade using high quality natural materials alongside examples of modern and traditional re-upholstery.
