My paintings begin with loosely held intention, followed by the playful exploration of paint and finish with intuitive and considered details. I use oil and cold wax medium or acrylic paint, to construct intricate and complex layers. My creative process strives to capture a sense of freedom and energy in my mark-making to create vibrant and colourful works that aim to engage the viewer from a distance and close up. I am driven by a passion to continuously work, learn and develop, to create beautiful and interesting abstracted paintings that I hope others connect with in a meaningful and emotional way.
