Melanie creates stunning mosaics with unique, robust materials, starting with a bespoke design. Mosaic can be set onto walls, floors, seating, wayfinding & sculpture. She aims to lift people’s spirits with her vibrant artwork, attracting people from around the UK and overseas. Commissions include a vibrant sunflower garden mosaic for a wonderful local family for the ‘Love Your Garden’ show. These include ‘Autumn Splendour’, depicting a well loved barn owl, on the Gyosei arts trail on the Grand Union Canal, and a two m free standing peacock butterfly on the Rocla arts trail.
Using clay, the artist also depicts delicate decorations collected from her early days as a wallpaper designer, depicting beautiful textiles from around the world.
I am exhibiting with fantastic artists: @StonyStratfordArtistsGroup. Art will be displayed indoors & in a beautiful large garden setting. Artists will be present each day, & refreshments are available to raise funds for Willen Hospice. Ample parking.
