Paintings & Ceramics which explore an interest in texture surfaces. I am fascinated by the layering process using collaged papers and various printing techniques in my paintings and slips, glazes and underglazes also sgraffiti, inlay and direct printing methods in my ceramics. The built environment is a constant source of ideas. I take lots of photographs on my trips and I like to absorb the colour, texture, atmosphere and light of places visited in order to translate that into my paintings and ceramics. A visit to St Ives has inspired a new series of paintings and my latest ceramics are influenced by a trip to Italy . I am back at Holy Trinity Church again this year with Where Inspiration Blooms and a lovely group of artists. The Blooming Café will also be open daily serving delicious food and especially their famous cakes .
